RE: Window Installation
Good Morning:
For over twenty years, Brown Lumber and our family have had an excellent working relationship in the restoration and maintenance of our Victorian home in Traverse City. Our home was built in 1894 and over the 112 years there have only been three owners, including our family. Our projects have utilized Brown Lumber’s Paint Department, Installed Sales and insulation divisions and each time we have been pleased with the result. Whether it has been custom molding for the music room, a custom wooden fence, custom wooden doors, a new roof and more recently Anderson replacement windows, we have always turned to Brown Lumber because they appreciate how much this home means to us and understand the importance of maintaining its integrity.
For years, we had debated whether to replace or keep the 112 year old windows. We reached a point where some windows did not open, others did not close properly, and yet others would only stay open if we used a stick to prop the window open. Anderson developed an oak replacement window that had the benefits of a new window while still maintaining the look, craftsmanship, and integrity of the original windows. When we finally decided to place the order we were still unsure if we had made the correct decision. Last week, the oak windows were installed upstairs, and they look spectacular. In fact, they have exceeded our expectations which, as you know, are not easy to do when it comes to our home.
We will continue to use Brown Lumber in the future for all of our home improvement needs, which will include exterior paint in spring, 2007.
Thanks again for your partnership
Sincerely,
Tim and Dianne Hamilton
